Nidlet doodle WIP

I'm not used to do lineart-less drawings, but we'll see how it goes. This is actually going to be a christmas drawing, but I haven't gotten to the "christmas" part of it yet. :V

Steam Workshop for Team Fortress 2! View and rate our stuff!

Valve has officially started the "Steam Workshop"! You can now submit custom modifications of your favorite games, including Team Fortress 2, and allow people to rate and comment on your mods! This new method will make it easier for Valve to cycle through the hundreds of submitted mods and determine which ones are favored by fans as well as which ones are deserving enough to be added to their games.

As of now, THE WRATH OF WAN HU and ZHU LONG'S YIN have been submitted to the Steam Workshop! Please feel free to rate our items and leave a comment! :)

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=136 - Zhu Long's Yin

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=154- The Wrath of Wan Hu

FUN FACT: The Wrath of Wan Hu is currently the 10th top rated item out of all 281 submitted items, and is also the top 3rd most rated Pyro weapon out of 66 total. Zhu Long's Yin is also the top 9th out of 66. Simply amazing.

Sneak peek at an upcoming commission

Let's face it. I'm terribly slow with commissions. That's probably my biggest disadvantage when it comes to doing commissions for people. But at the same time, this gives me a chance to work on some techniques I've never done before. Dreke's been giving me a few pointers about creating artwork that uses no lineart. I've never done it before, so I've been experimenting with it on my current commission for Star.

Eh...it needs work. But I'll keep working on it and see how it goes. Hopefully I can learn this technique pretty quickly so I can move on to the next commission. Wish me luck!

Oh Spike, always being a show-off

For those who watch my FA page, you may have already seen this. Here's a quick update on how this is progressing so far, completely uncensored for all my blog-following fans. :P

I am very messy at drawing/ coloring, I know lol. Hope ya' like so far. Expect more soon!

TF2 Contribute Update - More progress on Guan Dao!

A little bit of progress has been done on the Guan Dao, a melee weapon for the Pyro. This is a part of the Chinese Dragon Pack. The weapon is close to completion, all that it needs left are the chinese dragon engravings on the blade itself. Wish me luck!

TF2 Contribute - The Wrath of Wan Hu!

This is actually old news, but I didn't see any harm in posting about this (considering I haven't touched this blog in quite a while). Anyways, The Wrath of Wan Hu, a primary weapon for the Pyro, has been completed! It is part of the Chinese Dragon Pyro pack!

For those who don't know, the Chinese Dragon pack will consist of Wan Hu, Guan Dao, an unnamed chinese dragon shotgun, and Zhu Long's Yin, a dragon hat.

The shotgun is still in heavy development, so I have nothing to show for that as of now. If you're interested in the hat, however, feel free to visit here!

Updating an old comic from last year.

There was an old comic strip I was working on last year that I eventually gave up on due to discouragement. Here is an excerpt from the comic, the particular panel in which what pushed me to close the book on this comic.

As you can see: it sucks. There's no need to sugar coat here, it just sucks. Although I'm pretty OK with creating backgrounds traditionally, but digitally I can't create backgrounds worth shit. This was my absolute best attempt at the time to create a background and I just gave up in the end lol. I thought it was horribly sad that this was the best thing I could do.

Anyways, I had decided to pick it up again for the hell of it, thinking the skills I had picked up might be able to help. Just simply after 30 minutes of working on the grass alone I was surprised on what I had done.

Holy Jesus. I mean sure it's just grass and any artist can probably do way better than this tiny bit of progress, but this is quite a personal accomplishment for me.

I plan to redo the entire background and start over from scratch. I'm actually excited to see how it will turn out if just a little touch up on the grass improved that much. I really hope to release this comic soon, I think a lot of people will find it funny. C:

SkieFire Commission + Spike Bust

Finally got around to finishing my commission for SkieFire. I'm sure he'll enjoy the final product!

Now as for this piece right here.......it has quite an interesting history.

I think it's best if I start from the beginning. OK, so back when I was a child, I watched a lot of cartoons, obviously. They inspired a lot of what I like today. Spike is particularly special. For those who don't know who he is, he was a semi-regular character who appeared on the TV family sitcom series, Dinosaurs, originally developed by Jim Henson.

Anyways, Spike was my first childhood crush as a kid and has always remained as a special character in my heart. Can't believe it took me this many years to even draw anything remotely related to Spike. In fact, I almost feel ashamed for not giving him the proper respect he deserves. The TV show itself was pretty corny most of the time, but it had its small moments with its adult humor. I found Spike the most likable of all the characters, I actually hated everyone else, ESPECIALLY Robbie Sinclair. I *still* don't understand why there are so many fans for him when he looks incredibly ugly as fuck and just has a generally unlikable and flat personality. Spike, however, had the most colorful personality to me. He really stood out from everyone else to me with his "bad boy" attitude and accent, always walking around with his hands in his pockets, making snappy remarks and being a smartass. He was big, he was tough, but even under all that, he cared a lot for Robbie and looked after him closely. He had a heart deep down for him and that me swoon over Spike like a little girl lol.

ANYWAYS.

Spike fanart. Fuck yeah. One thing that always bothered me is that there is hardly *ANY* Spike fanart out there while there is hundreds of Robbie porn. It's ridiculous. And the very little Spike fanart that does exist doesn't look anything like him. Few exceptions would probably be my friend Dreke's fanart. He drew Spike pretty spot on.

As this was dedicated to my favorite character, I really pushed hard to color this to the best of my abilities. I learned a lot just from coloring this piece. Hopefully I can do a better dedication in the future and do a full body pic instead of a bust. We'll see!

Combustable Lemons

So I finished Portal 2 a couple of days ago. Game was so damn good that I replayed the story mode at least 3 times. Co-op mode was hilariously fun as well, but it felt kind of short compared to the single player mode. Then again, my BF (Ragnar) was so goddamn smart it didn't take long for us to breeze through the test chambers.

Meanwhile, an update on my commission for SkieFire.

Yay for delicious hi-res! Anyways, it's kind of obvious I'm really spazzy with my coloring. I color it one way then I end up coloring right over it with another way. I'm never satisfied.

BONUS: Was experimenting with coloring on Spike, as well.

What a hottie. C: Spike >>>>>> Robbie.

Commission updates

Figured I might as well give a little update on my commissions.

Here are 2 that I'm working on right now.

Commission for Skiefire of his fursona. Wonky anatomy, ahoy! (Will fix later.)

Commission for Star. Hm, I wonder who this character is? :P

So yeah, I'm still kicking lol.

Dead Space 2 + Steam Beta

For the past few weeks or so I've been playing Dead Space 2. Amazing sequel, so much better than the original in every way. I always found it interesting how it sort of felt like a more grimdark Metroid without the backtracking. I love sci-fi games like this. I also found it pretty odd how they made Isaac Clarke talk in this game and have an actual personality of his own. I was afraid at first but Visceral pulled it off very nicely. Thank the makers they didn't have Isaac as another generic "speehs mahreen" who cusses every time he opens his mouth with guns blazing. At least his switch to voice acting went much smoother did Samus Aran's did in Metroid: Other M. Ugh, as OK as that game was, her voice-acting, choice of dialogue and just overall personality just does not match the Samus I grew up with.

MEANWHILE...

I've been trying out the new beta for Steam. The most important new thing is that you can now take pictures by hitting F12. Now you longer have to rely on using Fraps to take snapshots in non-Steam games. I went ahead and added Dead Space 2 to my game library (I didn't actually buy the game from Steam) and tested it out. It's a pretty nifty feature.

Spike Side Profile - Lineart

Got around to finishing this lineart. Not sure if I want to upload this to FA or not. It'll probably be missed by a lot of people, anyways. Not enough Spike fans in this world. :C

New School Year Ahoy!

College starts up again for me this Wednesday, so that means snail mode will be activated once more for me. Been working on 2 commissions at the same time as well, so I apologize to those who have been trying to talk to me these past days online and dealing with my slow responses.

I don't feel they're ready to show any worthy sneak peeks yet, so instead have a random doodle. :V
(I noticed a few people complained about not seeing this doodle on FA. THIS IS WHY YOU SHOULD WATCH MY BLOG, KTHX.)

TF2 Contribute - Zhu Long's Yin

The promo for the lastest mod Ragnar and I have been working on.

The hat is finally finished and has been sent off to Valve. Decided to slap together this promo real quick to show it off.

Here are some snapshots that show off the hat much closer.

Hope you guys enjoy! And thanks for telling me Happy Birthday. :3 Here's to hoping this hat makes it into the game!

General Bahamut Teaches His Pupils About Rippage

 Happy New Year!

So yes, I fucking love muscle and military. Mix them together with a little bit of clothes ripping and BAM! You've pretty much hit my weak spot in the kink department.

Lame title, I know.

Bahamut finally received his new tablet in the mail earlier, so what better way to celebrate this occasion as well as New Years by testing it out? So we OC'd and did stuff. Naughty stuff. :U

For those who don't know, Homit is basically my idol. He's always been my biggest inspiration even far before I knew about the fandom's existence many years ago, and I always look up to him. I always see him as the "King of Dragons and Muscle". :P

Unfortunately, Homit's new tablet wasn't working right with OC, so he pretty much just watched me draw this. I always imagine Homit would be some big hot shot General in the military and he'd always be teaching his dragon pupils how to get buff and ripped. Yes it's a kink of mine, DON'T BE JELLY.
