Because saying "No" to Flint is apparently not enough...

If you've never played Golden Sun before, you probably won't get this joke.

Something I drew in a couple of hours a few weeks ago. Kind of my way of celebrating Dark Dawn's release. Been waiting soooo long for this game. 7 years, man. 7 YEARS.

Chinese Dragon Hat in-game

Example of how the hat works in-game. Mostly a test to see how well the eyes jiggle.

Update on Pyro's Chinese Dragon Hat

Laid down some base colors for the hat model. No actual paint job has been done yet, I'll get to it when I get a few other things out of the way. Design and texture by me, model by my BF, Ragnar Jormungandrson (Opethrockr55).

Everybody loves size differences, right?

YOU DAMN RIGHT YA' DO.

Commission for Rexymagic.

Holy dickbutt this took fucking FOREVER to finish. This was my first time working at a huge 3000x4000 resolution and making sure I slap in every little detail I can think of. So sorry it took so many months to finish, I don't know why I find it so difficult to color/ shade when it's so easy for others. I really can't thank Dreke enough for giving me so many pointers and helpful hints. (Still think I fucked up the lighting, though. I pretty much gave up by the time I got to Nid's feet lol.)

Anyways, this small res really doesn't do this drawing justice; small little details like Rexy's saliva hanging off his tongue become so hard to notice. :S

Anyways, hope you guys enjoy the new fapping material. One commission down, more to go.

Update on Commissions

To start, I want to apologize for the lack of updates with my commissions. I personally think it was a mistake to take on such a huge task of moving up to monochrome commissions as the difficulty is way beyond my level, it's beyond what I'm normally used to. It's probably for the best, though; as an artist I need to keep pressuring myself to improve my skills further. When I first started, I had only initially planned to do really simple monochrome coloring with little dynamic lighting.

Example:

Dreke, however, gave me pointers on how to do proper shading and highlighting. Upon teaching me, I had took it upon myself to challenge myself and see how well I could do a real properly colored piece with dynamic lighting and used FPheonix's commission as the guinea pig. Then came forth the final version you all have seen on FA.

Afterward, I had decided that I would convert all my commissions to this level of quality. It's because of this, everyone, that progress in my commissions has crawled down into a very slow snail pace. As this is entirely new for me I'm learning many new things along the way. To stack the pressure, college has been an overbearing weight on my shoulders. Finals are next week and I still have projects left to do, so there is much work left to be done. I had assumed I would have time for commissions during the Thanksgiving holiday, but unfortunately I was very wrong. As usual, my job had pulled a fast one on me as they were low on associates for the Black Friday holidays, so I was schedule outrageous hours everyday. This left me little time to work on my homework, much less my commissions.

Anyways, the reason I'm even saying any of this is because I want everyone to know why it's taking me a long time to finish these commissions, in case any of my commissioners or the audience have been feeling uneasy. I know it has been a couple of months since these commissions initially begun, but I'm trying my absolute hardest to get these done as quickly as possible as well as teach myself how to pace my work. I need to re-evaluate how I do my artwork and find a way to get my work done faster. Nevertheless, you can rest easy knowing that I have not been procrastinating with my commissions and ignoring them.

To wrap this up, here's a peek at my current commission's progress for Rexymagic.

I swear I've wasted more than 10 hours on this piece alone. Like I said, I'm very slow and I'm trying to learn how to speed things up while also learning so many new shading techniques.

I hope everyone better understands the reasoning behind the lengthy development time for my commissions. I'm like Valve Corporation, it's better if I keep on working on it and take forever rather than rush it and leaving it to suck forever. Take care, everyone. :3

Meet the slowest artist EVEEERRRR.

A wild Dreke appeared!

Even when I'm at college this strange creature called Dreke continues to pop in unannounced. I may have to do something about it.

Napoleon used dragons. True facts.

Chinese Dragon Hat - BLU version

Meant to show this last night but completely forgot.

Also, I can't think of a name to call this hat. Feel free to leave suggestions here. :)

HUDDA HUDDA HUDDA

This is what it looks like when you do put effort into concept designing.

And this is what it looks like when you DON'T put effort into concept designing. (This was the original design for the Dragon Whelp Hat I did for the Pyro as part of the TF2 Contribute Project.)

So anyways, yeah. TF2 DOODLES. It's uber fun, guys. Back to commissions.

WORK IS OVER, TIME TO PARTY

Just came back from my last exam. TIME TO PARTY.

Have a complimentary doodle.

I love drawing Kadabra looking all badass, pimping his cape. Is it wrong that I want to see him dominating a Machamp and make him cry like a bitch? 'CUZ THAT SOUNDS PRETTY DOPE.

Very Important Shit Going Down

As usual, college is taking up a lot of time. This week in particular is probably going to be the most stressful week I will ever experience thus far in my college days. So obviously, there won't be anything new from me for possibly a week or more. Sorry commissioners, I gotta' get these assignments and exams out of the way first. :C

To help ya' get through the wait, I'm going to go ahead and dump a bunch of really old doodles; hopefully these will tide you over 'till I'm back. (And this is just a small fraction of what I got, now you realize how much I constantly draw lol.)

P.S. Watch the Regular Show on Cartoon Network. Thoroughly entertaining cartoon.

Before I head off to work....

Something I doodled in college. This is actually a character of mine I've had for a very very long time yet I never bothered to actually show any doodles of him 'till now. Not sure why. But anyways, meet Gorln.

I know, I know, I've been posting nothing but sketches. I'll try and post something that has SOME effort put into it eventually. :C

Bada Bing!

Oh btw, it's September 11th. You know what that means, right?

What? Why are you giving me weird looks for buying balloons and streamers? It's my mother's birthday, sheesh.

Let's see, what to post about.

Just got home from college, BORED AND FIGURING OUT WHAT TO DO. Guess typing up this blog will kill a few minutes for me.

Before I start, jesus christ, Blogger's fucking horrible with this Composition. Why is it hard to just select areas in your block of text and making paragraphs in between images? It's buggy as hell, that's why. I've never had to use a post publisher as unresponsive as this one.

ANYWAYS, doodled this in one of my classes. Yeah, I was that bored.
"Face it, Scooter, you ain't ever going out with a girl at this rate. Why don't you just throw in the towel and settle down with me?" <3
And for those who only come here for the PENIS PENIS PENIS:
"Golly gee, having two dicks sure is better than one! Too bad I can't even see them as I HAVE NO EYES LOL."

MEANWHILE!

Some dude in one of my classes at college was showing this off on his phone. Fucking hilarious. Can't believe this has been around for a month and I had yet to see it 'till now.

Storms. Storms EVERYWHERE.

So for those who haven't heard, a tropical storm that was once a hurricane a few days ago hit Texas today and we're feeling the hurt. The roof of my house is damaged and my job had to actually close for a few hours due to a major power outage. FUN TIMES.

Anyways,  to make this post more worthy of viewing, here's some more crap I've been working on and off on.

This is really becoming a bitch to work on. My BF and I are re-working on an old TF2 mod, the Viktoriya, a gun for the Heavy. He spruced up the model and added a few details while I'm making a new texture from scratch. There's not really much to look at yet, but I felt like showing something.

Was thinking about making a new dragon hat for the Pyro. After checking out the competition for the past months, I've been starting to think that the current dragon hat is kind of bland. Still debating whether to do a full costume or just the head.

Oh shit what is this

I'm not good with this, this is my first time starting a blog. 3:

I figured having a blog will allow me to talk more freely as well as post more drawings sporadically. Could be interesting for those who want to know more about me.

To start things off, here's a few drawings I've been working on lately that probably won't make it to FA in their current states.

Spike from Dinosaurs.
Commission for Star.

Commission for Rexymagic.
